Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking an experienced Registered Practical Nurse for Villa Leonardo Gambin in Woodbridge, ON. The role supports residents under the Director of Care’s supervision, delivering compassionate nursing care in alignment with the resident plan and physician orders.

You are confident in coordinating with families, supervising care team members, and maintaining high standards of comfort and dignity. A collective agreement governs pay. Ontario licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics or senior health is preferred.
• Ability to supervise unregulated team members and coordinate care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per policy, orders, and plan of care.
• Deliver high-quality nursing and personal care with sound practice.
• Foster a welcoming environment and effective communication with staff.
• Oversee resident care and communicate with families regularly.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers and unit staff.
• Assess residents at admission, readmission, and status changes.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of theSienna Senior Living team and impact in the following ways:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
