Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for casual shifts at Aspira Villa da Vinci Retirement Living in Vaughan. The role supports residents under the Director of Wellness, following physician orders and the resident plan of care.

You must be in good standing as an RPN with the Ontario College of Nurses, ideally with geriatrics experience. You must be eligible to work in Canada; benefits include competitive pay, vacation, health/dental, SOAR, and ongoing professional

Qualifications

• RPN in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, or senior health is an asset.
• Able to identify risks and foster a positive work environment.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per policy and physician orders within RPN/LPN scope.
• Deliver excellent nursing and personal care using sound nursing practice.
• Create a welcoming environment through teamwork and communication.
• Oversee resident care with regular family updates and staff guidance.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers/unregulated staff on the unit.
• Admission, readmission, and status changes with ongoing assessments.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of theSienna Senior Living team and impact in the following ways:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
