Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for a permanent part-time evening role at Cheltenham Community in Toronto, ON. You will deliver nursing care aligned with residents’ care plans and collaborate with a compassionate team to support daily living for seniors.

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, or senior health is an asset.
• Good judgement and ability to foster a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with policy, physician orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilize sound nursing practice principles to deliver excellent nursing and personal care.
• Create a welcoming and supportive environment for residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff.
• Oversee resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and provide guidance to staff.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit.
• Manage admission, readmission, and change in status, with ongoing assessment of residents.

Reporting to the Director of Care, the Registered Practical Nurse is a critical role within our communities as it impacts the lives of residents.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of the Cheltenham Community team and impact in the following ways:

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
