Job summary

Sienna Senior Living in Bradford, Ontario, is hiring a Registered Practical Nurse for the Bradford Valley Community. The hourly wage ranges from $28.42 to $32.04 under the collective agreement, with a focus on resident-centred care and building relationships with residents in their home.

Reporting to the Director of Care, the RPN plays a critical role in nursing, patient safety, and team leadership across the unit. We support continuous learning and a welcoming, inclusive culture.

Qualifications

• Licensed as RPN in Ontario and in good standing.
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation, or senior health is an asset.
• Strong clinical judgement and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with physician orders and resident care plans, within the scope of practice.
• Deliver high-quality nursing and personal care.
• Create a welcoming environment through teamwork and effective communication.
• Oversee resident care and support staff with guidance.
• Supervise PSW/unregulated staff on the unit.
• Assist with admission, readmission and status changes, and ongoing assessment.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of theSienna Senior Living team and impact in the following ways:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
