Job summary

Sienna Senior Living's Rockcliffe Care Community in Scarborough is looking for a Registered Practical Nurse. The successful candidate will provide nursing care under policy and physician orders, contribute to the resident plan of care and support a compassionate, dignified environment for seniors.

We offer a competitive salary band of 33.47–35.07 per hour, health and dental benefits, SOAR, employee share plan, ongoing learning, and a welcoming culture.

Qualifications

• RPN in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation or senior health.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit.
• Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
