Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Registered Practical Nurse for a permanent part-time evening position in North York, ON. The RPN will provide compassionate nursing care under the resident plans of care, support families, and collaborate with the care team to uphold residents’ comfort and dignity.

The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to policies, and ongoing assessment to ensure high-quality care within a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• Registered Practical Nurse in good standing with the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Experience in geriatrics, rehabilitation and/or senior health.
• Good judgement and ability to identify risk.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care per policy, physician orders, the resident plan of care, and within the RPN/LPN scope.
• Deliver excellent nursing and personal care using sound nursing practice.
• Create a welcoming environment for residents through teamwork and clear communication.
• Oversee resident care, communicate with residents and families, and guide staff.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members.
• Handle admissions, readmissions, and status changes with ongoing assessment.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of theSienna Senior Living team and impact in the following ways:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an RPN/LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are

• A Registered Practical Nurse in good standing the Ontario College of Nurses
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
• You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work permit
