Job summary

WeeCare Pediatric Home Health Care is seeking a Part-Time Pediatric Registered Practical Nurse to support clients in Fergus, ON. You will provide nursing care according to care plans, build trusting relationships with children and families, and help create a safe, nurturing environment in both school and home settings.

The role requires your RPN license with CNO, BLS, and pediatric experience. Flexible scheduling and competitive pay are offered to fit your life, with specific weekly shifts on

Qualifications

• Licensed and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO).
• Experience working with pediatric clients.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Vulnerable Sector Check completed within the past 6 months.
• Professional Liability Insurance (PLI).

Responsibilities

• Provide G/GJ tube care and management.
• Provide seizure care and management.
• Administer and document medications as prescribed, in accordance with CNO medication administration standards.
• Monitor and ensure the safekeeping of medications and narcotics.
• Maintain the child's records and required documentation in accordance with CNO standards.
• Assist the child with personal care, hygiene, and activities of daily living.
• Observe and report changes in the child's condition to the parent/guardian and WeeCare.
• Assist in ambulation, mobilization, transfers, and use of adaptive aids.
• Demonstrate understanding of the child’s needs and support the child in maximizing their abilities.
• Provide cognitive, social, emotional, and psychological support to the child and family.
• Respond to child and family concerns and ensure appropriate follow-up.
• Assist in maintaining a safe and cleanly environment, including the child’s equipment and belongings.
• Notify the supervisor of any concerns related to the child’s safety, incidents, or accidents.
• Complete other duties as assigned

Position

Part-Time Pediatric Registered Practical Nurse in Fergus, ON.

Schedule

• Thursday & Friday: 06:45–20:30


• Saturday: 07:00-15:00, as needed

General Duties (specific duties may vary based on individual client needs)
