Job summary

ParaMed Home Health Care is seeking a Registered Dietitian to translate medical and nutrition information into practical meal plans for patients in home or residential settings. Roles include part-time and full-time with potential scheduling flexibility and a $5,000 signing bonus.

We serve both pediatric and adult clients with diverse referral sources and regulatory requirements. You will determine nutritional needs, plan and evaluate therapeutic menus, and maintain professional records in line

Qualifications

• Registration/licensing with provincial regulatory college in good standing College of Dietitians in Ontario
• Experience with pediatric clients considered an asset
• Knowledge of Regulated Health Professionals Act, Dietetics Act, Healthcare Consent Act and others
• Current certification (within 12 months) of First Aid, CPR across Canada
• Ability to provide VPS (Vulnerable Position Screening)

Responsibilities

• Determine nutritional needs and plan, implement, and evaluate normal and therapeutic menus
• Aid in prevention and/or treatment of inadequate nutrition
• Maintain client records per ParaMed policies and College standards

As a Registered Dietitian, you are uniquely trained to translate scientific, medical and nutrition information into practical healthy meal plans for patients and their families. Client groups receiving your treatment may include Pediatrics for in home or school services and/or Adults with medical/health concerns. Care will take place within a residential or institutional setting with referrals generated by a variety of sources including government agencies, employers, insurance companies or private payees.

What you’ll do:

• Determine nutritional needs of patients and plan, implement, and evaluate normal and therapeutic menus to maintain and enhance general health
• Aid in the prevention and/or treatment of inadequate nutrition
• Maintain professional client records related to client encounters and plans in compliance with ParaMed’s policies and the standards applied by the regulatory body or College of Dieticians.

What you bring:

• Registration/licensing with provincial regulatory college in good standing College of Dietitians in Ontario)
• Experience with pediatric clients considered an asset.
• Working knowledge of applicable legislation including Regulated Health Professionals Act, Dietetics Act, Healthcare Consent Act and others
• Currentcertification (within the past 12 month)of First Aid, CPR, completed within Canada
• Able to provide a current, clear Vulnerable Position Screening (VPS)
