Job summary

111013 ParaMed Inc. is seeking a Registered Dietitian to translate nutrition science into practical meal plans for patients in Ontario. The role may support pediatric and adult populations across home and facility settings, with referrals from various sources.

Responsibilities include assessing nutritional needs, planning therapeutic menus, and maintaining compliant client records. Licensing, pediatric experience, and VPS readiness are essential.

Qualifications

  • Registration/licensing with provincial regulatory college in good standing (College of Dieticians in Ontario).
  • Experience with pediatric clients is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of applicable legislation including Regulated Health Professionals Act, Dietetics Act, Healthcare Consent Act and others.
  • Current certification (within the past 12 months) of First Aid, CPR, completed within Canada.
  • Able to provide a current, clear Vulnerable Position Screening (VPS).

  • Determine nutritional needs of patients and plan, implement, and evaluate normal and therapeutic menus to maintain and enhance general health.
  • Aid in the prevention and/or treatment of inadequate nutrition.
  • Maintain professional client records related to client encounters and plans in compliance with ParaMed’s policies and the standards applied by the regulatory body or College of Dietitians.

Job Description Registered Dietician Available Locations across Ontario As a Registered Dietician, you are uniquely trained to translate scientific, medical and nutrition information into practical healthy meal plans for patients and their families.

Client groups receiving your treatment may include Pediatrics for in home or school services and/or Adults with medical/health concerns. Care will take place within a residential or institutional setting with referrals generated by a variety of sources including government agencies, employers, insurance companies or private payees.
