Job summary

ParaMed is seeking a licensed Dietitian to determine nutritional needs, plan and evaluate menus to support general health and therapeutic care. You will maintain client records in line with regulatory standards.

Applicants must be registered with the Ontario College of Dietitians, hold current First Aid/CPR, VPS screening readiness, and be willing to work with pediatric clients. Knowledge of RHPA and Dietetics Act is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Registration/licensing with provincial regulatory college in good standing.
  • Experience with pediatric clients considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of RHPA, Dietetics Act and Healthcare Consent Act.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification within Canada.
  • Ability to provide a VPS (Vulnerable Position Screening).

Responsibilities

  • Determine nutritional needs of patients and plan, implement, and evaluate menus for health and therapy.
  • Aid in prevention and/or treatment of inadequate nutrition.
  • Maintain professional client records in line with policies and regulatory standards.

What you’ll do:
  • Determine nutritional needs of patients and plan, implement, and evaluate normal and therapeutic menus to maintain and enhance general health
  • Aid in the prevention and/or treatment of inadequate nutrition
  • Maintain professional client records related to client encounters and plans in compliance with ParaMed’s policies and the standards applied by the regulatory body or College of Dieticians.
What you bring:
  • Registration/licensing with provincial regulatory college in good standing
  • College of Dieticians in Ontario)
  • Experience with pediatric clients considered an asset.
  • Working knowledge of applicable legislation including Regulated Health Professionals Act, Dietetics Act, Healthcare Consent Act and others
  • Current certification (within the past 12 month) of First Aid, CPR, completed within Canada
  • Able to provide a current, clear Vulnerable Position Screening (VPS)
