Job summary

Cornerstone Dental Wellness, part of the dentalcorp network in Okotoks, is seeking aRegistered/Certified Dental Assistant to join our team. You will prepare treatment rooms, assist clinicians, take X-rays, sterilize instruments, and educate patients on post-treatment care.

The role involves supporting scheduling, patient flow, and collaboration with the dental team to provide high-quality care while maintaining privacy and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required.
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high-quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.

Schedule:

• Tuesday: 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
• Wednesday: 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
• Thursday: 12:0 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
• Saturdays: Minimum of 1 Saturday per month, with the flexibility to work additional Saturdays as needed.
