Job summary

Cornerstone Dental at High Street in NE Calgary, part of the dentalcorp network, is seeking a dental assistant to support dentists and hygienists with patient care and daily operations. The role involves room prep, instrument handling, X‑ray taking, sterilization, chart updates, and education on oral hygiene.

Candidates should be registered and/or certified with a provincial regulatory body; prior dental assisting experience is preferred.

• Previous dental assisting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and materials for procedures, ensuring a clean and safe environment.
• Assist dentists and hygienists during treatments, maintaining patient comfort and workflow.
• Take dental X-rays and digital images as required.
• Perform instrument sterilization and infection control following IPAC standards.
• Update patient charts and provide education on oral hygiene and post‑treatment care.
• Support scheduling, patient flow, and administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with the dental team to deliver efficient, high‑quality care.
• Follow all privacy, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
• Establish strong patient relationships while maintaining ethical professional behaviour.

Schedule:

Friday and Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m., with the opportunity for additional hours as the practice grows.

About You:

• Registered and/or Certified as a Dental Assistant with your Provincial regulatory body or association is required
• Previous dental assisting experience is preferred
