Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking a Registered Care Aide (RCA) to provide in-home care and support for seniors in the Vancouver area. You will assist with ADLs/IADLs, monitor changes in health, and collaborate with care teams to enhance client independence.

Requires a driver’s license and vehicle, HCA certification, BC registry number, and current First Aid/CPR. We offer paid training, a friendly team environment, and flexible start dates near your home.

Qualifications

• Must have Driver’s License and own vehicle.
• Must have HCA Certificate and BC Registry Number.
• Must have First Aid and CPR Training.
• Criminal Record Check required.
• Access to a mobile phone required.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team.
• Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the client’s presentation.
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with ADLs and IADLs.
• Assist clients with bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting.
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries, laundry, etc.
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care.
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
• Drive clients in their vehicle to appointments and outings.

As a Caregiveryou will make a difference in your clients lives by:

• Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team.

• Assist clients with Bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries laundry etc.
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care.
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team.
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
• Driving client in their vehicle to appointments and outings
