Job summary

Comfort Keepers is seeking a Registered Care Aide (RCA) with a car to join our Richmond-area team. You will support seniors and adults at home, delivering care and companionship under the health care team.

Responsibilities include assisting with ADLs/IADLs, mobility, bathing, meal prep, light shopping, and transport to appointments. Flexible start dates and a supportive, team-centric environment are offered.

Qualifications

• Driver's License and own vehicle are required.
• HCA Certificate and BC Registry Number are mandatory.
• Current First Aid and CPR Training is required.
• Criminal Record Check is required.

• Observe and report significant changes in the client’s condition.
• Assist with ADLs and IADLs to maximize independence.
• Assist with bathing, mobility, dressing, feeding, and toileting.

Comfort Keepers is looking for a Registered Care Aide (RCA) with a car, available in the Richmond area to join our growing team. We are a leading in-home care provider for seniors and other adults that require a helping hand or companionship in their home.

As a Caregiver you will make a difference in your clients lives by:

• Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team
• Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the client’s presentation
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
• Assist clients with Bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries laundry etc
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients and staff
• Driving client in their vehicle to appointments and outings
