Job summary

Comfort Keepers Victoria is seeking a Registered Care Aide (RCA) to support seniors in the Langley area. You will provide personal care, companionship, and home support under the guidance of our health care team.

Travel to local client homes is required; a valid BC driver’s license and vehicle are a bonus, with paid training and flexible start dates.

Qualifications

• HCA Certificate and BC Registry Number is a MUST.
• Current First Aid and CPR Training.
• Criminal Record Check.
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a bonus.
• Driver's license and own vehicle is a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering client care and home support under the health care team.
• Observe changes in the client and report them.
• Collaborate with health care team, clients and caregivers to maximize independence in ADLs/IADLs.
• Assist with bathing, mobility, dressing, feeding, toileting.
• Assist with household tasks: meal prep, groceries, laundry.
• Motivate and involve clients in their care.
• Provide input to care planning with the health care team.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients and staff.
• Drive clients to appointments and outings.

Comfort Keepers is looking for a Registered Care Aide (RCA) available for the Langley area to join our growing team. We are a leading in-home care provider for seniors and other adults that require a helping hand or companionship in their home.

As a Caregiver you will make a difference in your clients lives by:

• Assisting in the delivery of client care and home support services under the direction of the health care team
• Assist clients with care, observe, and report significant changes in the client's presentation
• Collaborate with the health care team, clients, and their caregivers to maximize independence with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs)
• Assist clients with Bathing, showering, dressing, mobility, feeding, toileting
• Assist with household activities including meal prep, shopping for groceries laundry etc
• Motivate, encourage, and involve clients in their care
• Provide input and feedback in the care planning process to the health care team
• Maintaining a clean and safe environment for clients and staff
• Driving client in their vehicle to appointments and outings
