Riverstone Management in Ontario seeks a Regional Sales Manager to lead a thriving industrial equipment sales operation. You will drive new business development across construction, oilfield, mining, and government sectors while managing consignments and a sales team.
This player-coach role blends hands-on leadership with strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting to shape the sales strategy and pipeline. Travel within Ontario is required to build relationships with consignors and buyers.
Our client is one of Canada's leading independent auction companies, now part of a growing, multi-location auction group. Based in Ontario, they host large auction events throughout each month.
This is an opportunity to lead a thriving auction business within a larger, growing organization – driving growth, shaping industrial sales strategy, and playing a high-impact role in a dynamic team's continued success.
We're looking for a strategic, results-driven leader with deep expertise in the industrial equipment space, strong financial acumen, and sharp market insight – someone who knows how to optimize operations, drive revenue growth, and lead a high-performing sales team to consistently strong results. This is a player-coach role: you'll carry your own consignment relationships while building and leading a team.
As Regional Sales Manager, you'll drive new business development across a wide range of industries, including construction, oilfield, equipment sales and rental, mining, transportation, utilities, and government – building long‑term customer relationships and sourcing new accounts through networking, cold calling, direct mailing, targeted advertising, and other proactive prospecting methods. A core focus of this role is securing industrial equipment consignments to fill the auction yard ahead of each sale, working closely with major local consignors to keep the pipeline strong. You'll attend auction and trade shows to build your network and represent the business.
You'll bring hands‑on experience managing inventory and inventory turns, evaluating equipment for potential acquisition, and using budgeting and forecasting to guide sales planning and commercial strategy. Tracking performance against KPIs will be central to how you measure success and adjust course.
Beyond individual sales activity, you'll recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a team of onboarded sales representatives, setting targets and holding the team accountable to results.
