Our recruitment team is partnering with a leading service-based company experiencing significant growth in Canada. They are seeking a Regional Sales Manager with direct industry experience in loading dock equipment and warehouse solutions to join their sales team.

This is a remote role, with the expectation of travel for client meetings and industry events. A typical schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Regional Sales Manager with a deep understanding of industrial equipment and heavy machinery to lead and support our sales team across Canada. The ideal candidate will bring strong industry expertise, a strategic sales mindset, and leadership skills to drive revenue growth, improve profitability, and enhance operational efficiency.

This role requires extensive knowledge of industrial and heavy equipment sales, along with the ability to develop relationships with key decision-makers in industries such as construction, manufacturing, and warehousing.

Responsibilities:

Leadership & Team Development:

  • Partner with HR to recruit, train, and retain top talent, building a high-performing and collaborative team.
  • Motivate and empower employees by promoting autonomy and accountability, effectively communicating goals, and providing constructive feedback.
  • Foster a continuous improvement culture through coaching, cross-training, and professional development.

Strategic Sales Management:

  • Develop and implement annual business plans, sales goals, and budgets to achieve company growth objectives.
  • Monitor market trends, customer feedback, and competitor activities to refine sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing to design and execute targeted campaigns that resonate with commercial audiences.

Operational Excellence:

  • Supervise the preparation of preliminary quotes, ensuring alignment with customer needs and project feasibility.
  • Partner with installation and operations teams to guarantee seamless project execution from sale to delivery.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline processes, enhance efficiency, and resolve quality concerns promptly.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships, addressing concerns and ensuring a superior customer experience.
  • Act as a liaison for key accounts, supporting collections and resolution of quality or service issues.
  • Expand the company’s market share by driving sales of existing products and contributing insights for new product development.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales management within a service or engineering environment.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and developing teams.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with direct industry experience.
  • Must live in Southern Ontario
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to write reports and deliver presentations.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, solve problems, and make informed decisions.
  • A diploma or equivalent in Business Management or a related field.
