Job summary

nVent in Canada is seeking an experienced sales professional for the Western region covering CADDY & GARDNER BENDER commercial electrical, mechanical, and fire protection segments. You will drive new business from projects and product sales, while coaching agents and aligning with territory strategy.

The role requires building relationships with end users and distributors, delivering compelling presentations, and using Salesforce to manage the opportunity pipeline.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or applicable outside sales experience.
• Electrical and/or mechanical sales with a focus on commercial sales.
• 5+ years outside sales and/or territory management.
• Experience working with end user customers on projects.
• Experience leading direct reports and/or 3rd party sales agents.
• Experience with Salesforce CRM.
• Demonstrated achievement in sales and business development.
• Strong teamwork and time management.

Responsibilities

• Achieve sales goals for CADDY & GARDNER BENDER Commercial Electrical, Mechanical, and Fire Protection businesses in the Western region by successfully converting new business, primarily from projects and new product sales across British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northern Ontario
• Actively lead sales agents, aligning goals with territory strategy
• Build relationships across all levels of key end user customers and distributor partners
• Provide expertise in use of products and coordinate training of key contractors
• Deliver and refine presentations and lead discussions highlighting our benefits and value propositions
• Develop sales strategies and tactical plans to achieve regional sales targets
• Actively communicate competitive feedback and market dynamics internally to help further improve solution set and refine message
• Use Salesforce as a tool to manage opportunity pipeline and communicate feedback internally
