Regional Director, Strategic Relationships

Role Overview

The Regional Director, Strategic Relationships will focus on expanding business by increasing production and promoting consultative sales aligned with the regional sales plan. Responsibilities include managing relationships with key Advisors and influencers, supporting practice management, and collaborating with internal teams to enhance Advisor success and streamline business processes.

Responsibilities
  1. Participate in community events to promote PPI
  2. Represent PPI at industry events like ADVOCIS, STEP
  3. Support and develop strategies with existing strategic relationships
  4. Use a consultative approach for holistic planning with SR Advisors
  5. Manage advocacy activities and resolve disputes
  6. Implement sales and growth strategies
  7. Develop a client-centric business model leveraging PPI's value
  8. Improve processes to facilitate insurance integration for Advisors
  9. Market PPI Advisory HNW offerings
  10. Utilize senior Advisors in insurance consultancy roles
  11. Support service models for broader and high net-worth markets
  12. Build relationships with influencers and Advisors at partner firms
  13. Expand reach across Canada, including new firm partnerships
  14. Deliver presentations to stakeholders
  15. Conduct market research and competitive intelligence
  16. Align activities with PPI’s ESG commitments
Qualifications and Skills
  • 8+ years in independent financial services, preferably in strategic account channels (IIROC/MFDA)
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field
  • Industry designations: CFP, CLU, CHS, PFP, FEA, Pl.Fin (CFP preferred)
  • Willing to obtain CFP/CLU within 18 months
  • Proven sales leadership and networking skills
  • Deep knowledge of industry regulations (IIROC, MFDA, PWM)
  • Results-oriented with a disciplined sales approach
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French
  • Strategic thinker capable of planning, implementing, and adjusting strategies
  • Ability to work transparently in a team environment and manage feedback effectively
