Role Overview

The Regional Director, Strategic Relationships is responsible for expanding business, increasing production, and promoting consultative sales aligned with regional sales plans. You will manage relationships with key Advisors, influencers, and staff at select firms, supporting their practice management and connecting them with internal resources and education to enhance success.

This role involves collaboration with various teams to provide a holistic relationship management approach, including the High Net Worth and Broad Market segments.

Responsibilities
  1. Participate in community events to promote PPI's brand.
  2. Represent PPI at industry events like ADVOCIS, STEP, etc.
  3. Support and develop strategies with existing strategic relationships.
  4. Use a consultative approach for holistic planning, integrating insurance, estate, and tax planning.
  5. Manage advocacy activities such as dispute resolution and moving business through the funnel.
  6. Implement sales and growth strategies to meet objectives.
  7. Develop and execute a client-centric business model leveraging PPI's value proposition.
  8. Streamline processes to help Advisors incorporate insurance into their practices.
  9. Market PPI's HNW offerings as key differentiators.
  10. Utilize senior Advisors for insurance consultancy support.
  11. Support service models for broader and high-net-worth markets, maintaining high-quality service.
  12. Build strong relationships with influencers and Advisors at partner firms.
  13. Expand PPI’s market reach across Canada, including new firm partnerships.
  14. Deliver presentations to stakeholders.
  15. Conduct research and gather competitive intelligence on the SR landscape.
  16. Support ESG commitments in all activities.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years in the independent financial services industry, preferably in a strategic account channel (IIROC/MFDA).
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Industry designations: CFP, CLU, CHS, PFP, FEA, Pl.Fin, with a strong preference for CFP.
  • Willing to obtain CFP/CLU within 18 months if not already certified.
  • Proven sales leadership and networking skills.
  • Deep knowledge of the financial services industry and regulatory environment.
  • Results-oriented with a disciplined approach to growth.
  • Excellent communication skills in English and French, including public speaking and social media.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to adapt and evaluate results.
  • Ability to work transparently in a team environment and manage emotions effectively.
