Job summary

Emterra Group in Canada is seeking a DZ licensed driver to operate a side-load waste collection/recycling vehicle. You will safely complete assigned routes, perform vehicle inspections, and provide excellent customer service while adhering to safety policies.

The role requires a valid Ontario DZ licence (or AZ MELT graduate), ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and passing pre-employment drug/alcohol tests with a clean criminal background check. Immediate vacancy with competitive wages.

Job Summary

Operate a side load waste collection/recycling vehicle to safely collect curbside materials, complete assigned routes on time, perform vehicle inspections, and provide excellent customer service.

Position Description

• Operate waste collection/recycling vehicle;
• Load curbside materials into the truck;
• Observe safe work practices;
• Provide excellent customer service in accordance with company policies;
• Ensure assigned routes are successfully completed in a timely and safe manner;
• Conduct pre and post trip inspections and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid Ontario DZ driver’s licence with a clean drivers abstract and CVOR;
• Minimum one year experience driving with DZ licence OR an AZ MELT graduate from an accredited driving school;
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs;
• As this is a safety-sensitive position, successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required
• Successful completion of a criminal background check
• Punctual, reliable, team player.
