Job summary

Emterra Group is seeking a DZ licensed driver to operate a recycling collection vehicle and load curbside materials while adhering to safety and company policies. You will complete routes on time, perform pre- and post-drive inspections, and deliver excellent customer service with a safety-first approach.

The role requires a DZ license with a clean record or AZ MELT graduate, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and successful completion of drug/alcohol testing and a criminal background check.

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario DZ license with a clean driving abstract and CVOR.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required.
• Criminal background check is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate recycling collection vehicle.
• Load curbside materials into the truck.
• Observe safe work practices.
• Provide excellent customer service per company policies.
• Ensure routes are completed on time and safely.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and complete DVIRs.

Job Duties

• Operate recycling collection vehicle;
• Load curbside materials into the truck;
• Observe safe work practices;
• Provide excellent customer service in accordance with company policies;
• Ensure assigned routes are successfully completed in a timely and safe manner;
• Conduct pre and post trip inspections and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

Skills & Qualifications

• Valid Ontario DZ driver's licence with a clean drivers abstract and CVOR;
• Minimum one year experience driving with DZ licence OR an AZ MELT graduate from an accredited driving school;
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs;
• As this is a safety-sensitive position, successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required
• Successful completion of a criminal background check
• Punctual, reliable, team player.

$30.57/hour
