Job summary

Emterra Group in Barrie, Ontario, is seeking a full-time DZ Driver to join our safety-focused waste collection team. You will operate a recycling collection vehicle, load curbside materials, perform pre/post trip inspections, and provide excellent customer service while following company policies.

The role requires a valid Ontario DZ licence with a clean abstract or AZ MELT graduate, ability to lift 50 lbs, pass pre-employment drug tests and background checks, and a reliable, punctual team

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario DZ licence with a clean drivers abstract and CVOR.
• Minimum one year experience driving with DZ licence OR AZ MELT graduate from a driving school.
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• As this is a safety-sensitive position, pre-employment drug and alcohol testing is required.
• Criminal background check is required.
• Punctual, reliable, team player.

Responsibilities

• Operate recycling collection vehicle.
• Load curbside materials into the truck.
• Observe safe work practices.
• Provide excellent customer service in accordance with company policies.
• Ensure assigned routes are completed in a timely and safe manner.
• Conduct pre and post trip inspections and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
