Job summary

Emterra Group in Ontario is seeking a full-time DZ driver to operate waste collection and recycling vehicles, load materials, and follow safety procedures. You will provide friendly customer service, complete routes on time, and perform pre- and post-trip inspections.

Qualifications include a valid Ontario DZ licence with clean abstract and CVOR, at least one year of DZ driving experience or AZ MELT graduation, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and successful completion of pre-employment drug

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely in a team.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Operate waste collection/recycling vehicles (Rear Pack and Manual side loader).
• Load curbside materials into the truck and ensure routes are completed safely.
• Observe safe work practices and provide excellent customer service.
• Complete pre- and post-trip inspections and DVIRs.

Job Duties

• Operate waste collection/recycling vehicles (Rear Pack and Manual side loader);
• Load curbside materials into the truck;
• Observe safe work practices;
• Provide excellent customer service in accordance with company policies;
• Ensure assigned routes are successfully completed in a timely and safe manner;
• Conduct pre and post trip inspections and complete Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.

Requirements

• Valid Ontario DZ driver’s licence with a clean drivers abstract andCVOR;
• Minimum one year experience driving with DZ licence OR an AZ MELT graduate from an accredited drivingschool;
• Ability tolift upto50lbs;
• As this is a safety-sensitive position, successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing isrequired
• Successful completion of a criminal background check
• Punctual, reliable, team player
