Job summary

Irving Consumer Products in Canada seeks a Recruitment Student to support day-to-day recruitment operations and candidate communications. Reporting to the Recruitment Manager, you will screen resumes, coordinate interviews, and help manage applicant data.

This role offers exposure to HR processes, data analytics, and a path to growth within the J.D. Irving network; enrollment in college or bachelor’s in business or HR is required, with prior internship experience preferred.

Qualifications

  • Enrollment in College or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
  • Good academic standing required
  • Completion of one prior internship/work term in a Human Resources or Business-related field
  • Proficiency with MS Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of HRIS Systems; experience with Oracle tools considered an asset
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Goal-oriented with excellent time management skills
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager, Recruitment, the Recruitment Student will play a key role in the administration and coordination of day-to-day Recruitment processes and activities.
