Job summary

Irving Tissue is seeking a Logistics Planning / Supply Chain Co-op Student to support day-to-day planning activities and participate in projects that improve operational efficiency. You will assist with inventory tracking, production planning, and the coordination of inbound/outbound shipments.

As part of a cross-functional team, you will analyze data using spreadsheets, prepare reports, and help ensure on-time delivery while upholding safety and policy standards.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or related post-secondary program.
  • Eligible to participate in a co-op or work-integrated learning placement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a cross-functional team.
  • Interest in manufacturing, logistics, inventory management, and continuous improvement.
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with inventory tracking and monitoring of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods.
  • Supporting production planning activities to help ensure customer demand is met efficiently.
  • Analyzing inventory levels and identifying potential supply shortages or excess inventory.
  • Assisting with the coordination of inbound and outbound shipments.
  • Collaborating with production, warehouse, procurement, and customer service teams to support operational requirements.
  • Preparing reports and analyzing supply chain data using spreadsheets and reporting tools.
  • Assisting with cycle counts, inventory audits, and material reconciliation activities.
  • Participating in supply chain meetings and contributing insights based on data analysis.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures.

Responsibilities
