Job summary

Pawsitive Veterinary Care in Kelowna, BC is seeking a friendly receptionist to support veterinarians and clients. You will schedule appointments, manage medical records, handle payments, and help on social media.

This full-time role offers a welcoming environment, on-site parking, and opportunities to learn medical terminology and grow with the team.

Qualifications

• Learn basic medical terminology.
• Become knowledgable about our products, services, and protocols.
• Assist veterinarians and veterinary support staff.
• Properly maintain medical records.
• Schedule appointments on a web based software.
• Invoice clients, and handle basic payment issues.
• Communicate through phones, email, and SMS with proper etiquette and grammar.
• Maintain a clean hospital environment.
• Interact and handle pets with consent, love and attention.
• Assist with social media content.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and manage front desk communications.
• Schedule and confirm appointments using the clinic's software.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient information.
• Process invoices and handle basic payments.
• Support veterinarians and staff with daily clinic operations.
• Ensure the lobby and front desk are clean and organized.
• Communicate professionally with clients via phone, email and SMS.
• Promote pet welfare and comfort during visits.
• Assist with social media content to engage clients.

5 days a week:

• Tuesday: 9am - 5pm
• Wednesday: 9am - 6:00pm
• Thursday: 9am - 6:00pm
• Friday: 9am - 5pm
• Saturday: 9am - 4pm

Daily lunch breaks with flexibility, minimum 30 minutes up to 1 hour.
