Job summary

KH/Dunkley Law Group in Calgary seeks an experienced Real Estate Paralegal to support residential real estate transactions, including conveyancing, mortgages and closings. The ideal candidate will work closely with a supervising lawyer and the team.

Strong attention to detail, time management and communication are essential. Alberta experience and familiarity with Leap, Unity or Resolve are highly valued; a Paralegal/Legal Assistant Diploma is an asset.

Qualifications

• Three+ years of experience handling residential real estate files in Alberta.
• Experience with mortgage instructions from lenders.
• Experience with Protocol, Conventional and title insurance closings.

Responsibilities

• Prepare residential real estate files in their entirety, including conveyancing and mortgage documents.
• Correspond with clients, lenders, condo managers, law firms and other relevant parties.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Real Estate Paralegal to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in real estate transactions and a passion for providing exceptional support in real estate legal matters.

• Prepare residential real estate files in their entirety including conveyancing and mortgage documents
• Correspond with clients, lenders, condo managers, law firms and other relevant parties
• Work closely with the supervising lawyer and other team members
• Prepare reports to clients, lenders and other relevant parties

Our ideal candidate would be an experienced and energetic real estate paralegal that can succeed working independently and in a collaborative team environment. Strong attention to detail, excellent time management and communication skills, and an eagerness to learn are imperative to success in this role.

• Experience with mortgage instructions from all lenders.
• Experience with Protocol, Conventional and title insurance closings for resale transactions, new home purchases and new condo purchases.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Three (3) + years of experience handling residential real estate files in Alberta.
• Experience using document preparation software such as Leap, Unity or Resolve
• Paralegal/Legal Assistant Diploma from a recognized institution is an asset
