Strathcona Resources Ltd. We are actively seeking Summer Student, Rail Operators to join our Hamlin Facility located within 15 km of North Battleford, SK. Reporting to the Team Lead, the summer students will be responsible for ensuring the area they are assigned is managed within the design expectations with a high attention to the safety of the personal and equipment. The individual must be highly motivated and able to work in a team environment.

The Student Plant Operator positions will begin May 2026 and will be available for a 4-month term .

Essential Functions :

Responsible for the day-to-day operation of assigned equipment.

Set an example in safety leadership with Strathcona’s employees and contractors.

Troubleshoot and work within the team to resolve operational challenges.

Perform housekeeping, performance monitoring, and maintenance activities in the facility.

Understand and perform safety, environmental and regulatory responsibilities such as hazard identification, equipment lock out, emergency response, and implement safe working procedures.

Qualifications Include :

Previous related experience is considered an asset : manual labor, construction, and farm hand.

Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license.

Proficient with Microsoft Office programs.

Committed to best practices in Health, Safety and Environmental management.

Demonstrate integrity, accountability, and good decision-making skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Self-motivated, open-minded and results orientated.

The individual will be required to work in all weather conditions including days and night shifts.
