The position is full-time, in-person, with a salary range of $40,000.00 to $45,000.00 annually, and involves ensuring timely delivery and high-quality documentation for clients.

Qualifications

• Medical, law, insurance or technical writing background.
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, independent problem solver.
• Familiarity with auto insurance legislation and related decisions.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• French/English fluency is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Proof-reads Accident Benefits reports for continuity, accuracy, and compliance.
• Corrects errors in reports and tracking documentation to ensure accuracy.
• Identify discrepancies and provide timely feedback for corrections.
• Collaborate with assessors to address quality issues and implement actions.
• Provide training on QA procedures and documentation requirements.
• Ensure reports are sent to clients on time and tracked appropriately.
• Follow QA protocols for releasing and saving reports.
• Assist with queries and explain report discrepancies to clients.

Job Description
Role: Quality Assurance Administrator / Medical Report Editor
Status: Full-Time Permanent (in-person)
Location: 5945 Airport Road, Suite 335, Mississauga ON

For over 30 years AssessMed has been completing independent, unbiased, evidence based medico-legal evaluations and file reviews to several markets including but not limited to , auto insurance, defense and plaintiff tort medicals, Accident Benefits, Catastrophic claims, Life and Health Disability referrals as well as cases from HR representatives throughout corporate Canada. AssessMed is a true national provider with strategically located regional offices in BC, Alberta, Ontario (4), Quebec and the Maritime Provinces (2).

Main Responsibilities:

• Proof-reads Accident Benefits reports for continuity, consistency, accuracy, spelling, grammar and compliance with the SABS, AMA Guides, and compliance with current regulations.
• Corrects any errors that are identified, both within the reports and within tracking systems and documentation to ensure accurate working records for the staff.
• Identify discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies in medical assessments and provide timely feedback to assessors for correction.
• Collaborate with assessors, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
• Provide training and support to assessors on quality assurance procedures and documentation requirements.
• Ensure reports are sent to the client on time
• Ensure the timely follow-up and tracking of all assigned reports
• Follow QA protocols for releasing and saving reports
• Offer exceptional customer service when responding to queries and/or explaining report discrepancies
• Identify issues that will impact on service standards and rectify or elevate those issues
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Medical, law, insurance or technical writing background
• Action-oriented, highly organized, results-oriented, independent problem solver with demonstrated clinical, medical legal assessment and/or adjudication experience
• Detailed familiarity with the current and prior auto insurance legislation, arbitration and associated legal decisions.
• Solid command of the English language and demonstrated excellent communication skills both verbally and in written format
• Has working knowledge of MS Word, Outlookand Excel and the ability to learn and navigate new systems
• Flexible and team-oriented- CAT Certification or strong working knowledge of the AMA Guides 4 th and 6 th editions an asset.
• French/English fluency is strongly preferred
