Job summary

Viewpoint in North York is seeking a Quality Assurance Coordinator to ensure accuracy and compliance of medical assessment reports. You will conduct QA checks, identify discrepancies, and train assessors on QA procedures while coordinating with the team to maintain timely report delivery.

The role requires a regulated health professional with clinical and medical-legal experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with MS Word/Excel. Fluency in French/English is preferred.

Qualifications

  • A regulated health professional with at least 3 years' experience as a Kinesiologist, Physiotherapist or Nurse.
  • 1-2 years work experience in medical clinic, hospital or insurance office.
  • Action-oriented, highly organized, results-oriented, independent problem solver with clinical, medical-legal assessment experience.
  • Familiarity with current auto insurance legislation, arbitration and related legal decisions.
  • Strong command of English and excellent communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel; ability to learn new systems.
  • Flexible and team-oriented.
  • French/English fluency is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Review and evaluate medical assessment reports for continuity, accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on medical documentation including histories and treatment plans.
  • Identify discrepancies and provide timely feedback to assessors.
  • Collaborate with assessors to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and support on QA procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Ensure accurate report timelines are recorded and reports sent on time.
  • Track QA statuses and follow up on reports.
  • Follow QA protocols for releasing and saving reports.
  • Respond to client queries and explain report discrepancies; escalate issues as needed.
  • Identify issues impacting service standards and rectify or escalate.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Review and evaluate medical assessment reports to ensurecontinuity, consistency, accuracy, spelling, grammar and compliance with current regulations.
  • Conduct thorough quality assurance checks on medical documentation, including medical histories, diagnostic test results, and treatment plans.
  • Identify discrepancies, errors, or inconsistencies in medical assessments and provide timely feedback to assessors for correction.
  • Collaborate with assessors, to address quality issues and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and support to assessors on quality assurance procedures and documentation requirements.
  • Ensure accurate report timelines are recorded
  • Ensure reports are sent to the client on time
  • Ensure the timely follow-up and tracking of all QA statuses and reports
  • Follow QA protocols for releasing and saving reports
  • Offer exceptional customer service when responding to client queries and/or explaining report discrepancies.
  • Identify issues that will impact on service standards and rectify or elevate those issues
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A regulated health professional with at least 3 years' experience either as a Kinesiologist, Physiotherapist or Nurse
  • 1-2 years work experience in medical clinic. / hospital or insurance office
  • Action-oriented, highly organized, results-oriented, independent problem solver with demonstrated clinical, medical legal assessment and/or adjudication experience
  • Detailed familiarity with the current and prior auto insurance legislation, arbitration and associated legal decisions.
  • Solid command of the English language and demonstrated excellent communication skills
  • Has working knowledge of MS Word and Excel and the ability to learn and navigate new system
  • Flexible and team-oriented
  • French/English fluency is strongly preferred
