Job summary

Home Care Assistance is hiring PSW staff for LTC facilities in Collingwood and Penetanguishene. The role involves providing personal care and various support services, with shifts including mornings, evenings, overnights, and weekends. Candidates should have 2+ years of experience and hold a PSW certification.

Drivers license and own insured vehicle are mandatory. Competitive pay starting at $21 per hour, with benefits after 30+ hours per week and additional vacation pay.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care.
• Cognitive, social, emotional and spiritual support.
• Behavior support and crisis intervention.
• Maintain open communication with client and family.
• Monitor care plan and document changes.
• Respond to emergencies.
• Follow Care Plan and ADLs.
• Prepare clear and detailed care notes.

We have 4 PSW vacancies for LTC facility in Collingwood and Penetanguishene to provide care. Shifts may vary from mornings to evenings to overnights and every other weekend. Need to have 2 plus years experience.

The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide personal care
• Drivers license and reliable car are mandatory for this position.
• Providingcognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support
• Provide behaviorsupport and crisis intervention
• Maintaining open communication with client and their family
• Monitoring care plan and adding documentation with any changes and updates
• Responding to all emergency situations
• All other duties, as assigned

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

• PSW certification*required
