Job summary

Home Care Assistance is hiring PSWs to provide personal care in Collingwood. Shifts vary including mornings, evenings, overnights and alternating weekends. Requires 2+ years of experience and a valid PSW certification. Drivers license with a vehicle is mandatory.

• PSW certification (NACC or Public College) required.
• Valid First Aid/CPR within last 12 months.
• Police Vulnerable Sector Check within last 6 months.
• Driver's license with own insured vehicle mandatory.
• TB test in last 6 months.
• 3 Covid vaccines and up-to-date flu shot.
• Mask fit and satisfactory references.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care to clients.
• Follow care plan and document changes.
• Maintain open communication with client and family.
• Respond to emergencies and uphold safety.
• ADL support and cognitive, social, emotional assistance.
• Accurate notes and timely documentation.

We have 4 PSW vacancies for LTC facility in Collingwood to provide care. Shifts may vary from mornings to evenings to overnights and every other weekend. Need to have 2 plus years experience.

The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide personal care
• Drivers license and reliable car are mandatory for this position.
• Providingcognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support
• Provide behaviorsupport and crisis intervention
• Maintaining open communication with client and their family
• Monitoring care plan and adding documentation with any changes and updates
• Responding to all emergency situations
• All other duties, as assigned
• Follow Care Plan
• ADL's
• Clear and detailed care notes

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:
