Job summary

Home Care Assistance in Washago, Ontario is seeking a dedicated PSW to provide community-based care to clients in the Washago area. This role is 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, every other weekend, and Tuesdays every other week, with a starting wage of $21.00 per hour.

Qualifications include PSW certification, valid First Aid/CPR, a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within the last 6 months, and a valid driver’s license with an insured vehicle.

We have 1 FEMALE PSW vacancy for Community Client in Washago area to provide care. Looking for 8 am to 4 PM every other weekend., and Tuesdays every other week.

The successful candidate’s areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide personal care
• Drivers license and reliable car are mandatory for this position.
• Providingcognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support
• Provide behaviorsupport and crisis intervention
• Maintaining open communication with client and their family
• Monitoring care plan and adding documentation with any changes and updates
• Responding to all emergency situations
• All other duties, as assigned

Key qualifications for this position will include, but are not limited to:

• PSW certification is required
• Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
• Completion of a Police Vulnerable Sector Check within last 6 months
• Drivers License and own insured vehicle is mandatory
• Satisfactory professional references
• Ability toaccurately follow written and verbal instructions
• Must be able to anticipate problems and use sound judgment and tact in handling confidential matters
