Job summary

Louis W. Bray Construction Limited is seeking a Project Coordinator to support civil infrastructure projects, tendering, estimation, and documentation. This role thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and offers opportunities to contribute to meaningful community infrastructure.

You will assist in planning, execution, and monitoring of projects, coordinating with Project Managers and estimators to ensure budgets and bids are accurate and compliant with tender requirements.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Civil Engineering Technology, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years experience in construction project coordination or related roles, ideally in heavy civil infrastructure projects such as bridges, culverts and dams.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with civil engineering software.
  • Familiarity with tendering, estimating, and basic project scheduling processes.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of contracts, including terms, conditions, and construction specifications.
  • Formal training in project management or certification (such as CAPM) is considered an asset.
  • Prior hands-on construction or field experience is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing accurate quantity takeoffs and interpreting specifications for project estimation and proposals.
  • Review and analyze proposal specifications and drawings to clearly identify the scope of work.
  • Prepare cost estimates, tender forms, and detailed pricing breakdowns for labour, equipment, and materials.
  • Develop and distribute requests for quotations (RFQs) to suppliers and subcontractors, and manage responses.
  • Support project scheduling activities, ensuring timelines and deadlines are clearly communicated and tracked.
  • Coordinate project documentation, including contracts, purchase orders, and productivity reports.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and Estimators to prepare accurate budgets, proposals, and bids.
  • Ensure compliance with special tender requirements, including bonding, insurance, and registration processes.

Position Overview:
