Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a Project Coordinator to join its Civil & Infrastructure division in Montreal. You will manage multiple activities and schedules to align with customer, team, and project needs on large-scale construction projects. You will communicate with stakeholders, oversee administrative tasks, and ensure resource availability on-site.

The role emphasizes collaboration, client service, and a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance within a dynamic construction environment.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ working experience in the construction industry.
• A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.
• A passion for providing exceptional client service.
• A proven track record of project coordination and team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project team with coordination and administrative support.
• Review and update construction schedules with the team to ensure timeliness.
• Maintain shop drawings, RFIs, material purchase orders, change notices, and completion documents.
• Review project quotes and seek the best prices in the market.
• Own the collection and completion of companywide project reports for assigned projects.
• Promote Pomerleau’s HS&E programs on-site and ensure compliance with OH&S acts and codes.

As a Project Coordinator within Pomerleau's Civil & Infrastructure division, you will play a key role at the heart of the structure business unit. You'll manage multiple activities and schedules to gain a clearer view of customer, team, and project needs. Working on large-scale construction projects – ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion – you'll play a crucial role in communicating with stakeholders, ensuring resource availability, and overseeing various administrative tasks.

What you will do

• Assist the project team with your keen eye for detail in providing project coordination and administrative support.
• Utilize your passion for client services in ensuring open lines of communication with team members, trade partners, consultants, and clients. Diligently review, interpret, and update our construction schedules.
• Utilize your passion for organization through the successful maintenance, review, and follow-up of shop drawings, RFIs, material purchase orders, change notice quotes, and project completion documents.
• Meticulously review, collect, and analyze project quotes, seeking out the best prices in the market.
• Own the collection and completion of companywide project reports for your assigned projects.
• Be a role model for the application of project-specific safety standards, helping to promote Pomerleau’s HS&E programs, applicable OH&S acts, regulations, and codes with all employees and trade partners on-site.
