Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a Project Coordinator to support Civil & Infrastructure teams on large-scale construction projects across Canada. You will manage multiple activities and schedules, oversee administrative tasks, and ensure effective communication among clients, the team, and trade partners.

Ideal candidates have 1-3 years in construction, a Engineering degree or tech diploma, and a passion for exceptional client service. Hybrid work and travel across the province are possible.

• 1-3 years’ experience in the construction industry.
• University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering.
• A passion for providing exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

• Provide project coordination and administrative support.
• Maintain construction schedules and ensure open communication with stakeholders.
• Review shop drawings, RFIs, purchase orders, change notices, and completion documents.
• Review, analyze and compare project quotes to obtain best prices.
• Prepare and deliver project reports for assigned projects and promote HS&E on-site.

As a Project Coordinator within Pomerleau’s Civil & Infrastructure teams, you will play a key role at the heart of our Structures. You will manage multiple activities and schedules to gain a clearer understanding of the client’s, team’s, and project’s needs. Working on large-scale construction projects—ranging from $1.5 million to over $1 billion—you will be crucial in communicating with stakeholders, ensuring resource availability, and overseeing various administrative tasks.

What you will do

• Assist the project team with your keen eye for detail in providing project coordination and administrative support.
• Utilize your passion for client services in ensuring open lines of communication when it comes to our team members, trade partners, consultants and clients. Diligently review, interpret and update our construction schedules.
• Utilize your passion for organization through the successful maintenance, review and follow-up of shop drawings, RFI’s, material purchase orders, change notice quotes and project completion documents.
• Meticulously review, collect and analyze project quotes, seeking out the best prices in the market.
• Own the collection and completion of companywide project reports for your assigned projects.
• Be a role model for the application project specific safety standards helping to promote Pomerleau’s HS&E programs, applicable OH&S acts, regulations and codes with all employees and trade partners on-site.

This role could be for you if you have

• 1-3 years’ working experience in the construction industry.
• A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.
• A passion for providing exceptional client service.
