Job summary

Pomerleau is seeking a Project Coordinator within our Buildings division to support project growth and execution. You will coordinate activities, manage deadlines, and communicate with clients, team and partners to keep projects on track.

0-3 years of experience in building construction, a degree in Engineering or Technology, and strong organizational and written skills are required. Hybrid work opportunities and competitive compensation apply, with emphasis on HS&E compliance and career growth.

Responsibilities

• Assist the project team with coordination and project support.
• Collaborate and maintain open communication with team members, trade partners, consultants and clients.
• Review, interpret and update construction schedules.
• Maintain, review and follow-up of shop drawings, RFIs, material purchase orders, change notices and project completion documents.
• Collect, review and analyze project quotes to obtain the best prices in the market.
• Compile and complete company-wide project reports.
• Attend and document project meetings and emphasize their importance.
• Promote Health, Safety and Environmental protection on the project according to HS&E standards.

What you will do

• Assist the project team with coordination and project support;
• Collaborate and keep the lines of communication open when working with team members, trade partners, consultants and clients;
• Take pride in your ability to effectively review, interpret and update the construction schedules;
• Utilize your passion for organization through maintenance, review and follow-up of shop drawings, RFI’s, material purchase orders, change notice quotes and project completion documents;
• Effectively collect, review and analyze project quotes with emphasis on obtaining the very best prices in the market;
• Take pride in compiling and completing company wide project reports;
• Assemble, attend, document and emphasize the importance of project meetings;
• Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety and Environmental Protection on the project. Effectively apply the requirements of the project specific safety standards to promote Pomerleau’s HS&E standards, applicable OH&S acts, regulations and codes with all employees and trade partners on the project;

• Celebrate project success and completion and be a key member of the project wrap-up process.
• **The successful candidate will be required to obtain federal personal security clearance to the Level of Secret (10 years of continuous Canada residency, clear criminal record)**

This role could be for you if you have
