Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Educational Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years experience supporting development and delivery of e-learning resources.
  • Experience with Moodle and e-learning authoring tools (Articulate Rise/Storyline).
  • Knowledge of emerging AI technologies in online education.
  • Front-end web skills (HTML/CSS/jQuery/Bootstrap) and CMS experience.
  • Cloud storage (OneDrive/Dropbox) and screen recording tools (Camtasia).
  • Backend languages and databases (PHP, SQL/NoSQL) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with SCORM, WCAG 2.1, xAPI/LRS, Trello/Asana, SharePoint.

Job Description

CAMH Education and the 9-8-8: Suicide Crisis Helpline are seeking a full-time, temporary (1 year) Project Coordinator (Learning Management System (LMS) Administrator). This position will support the development and delivery of accessible e-learning modules, web-based resources, and other learning materials for 9-8-8 responders and supervisors.

Reporting to the Manager of Digital Innovation within CAMH Education and the 9-8-8 Education portfolio team, the successful candidate will have demonstrated experience administering Moodle learning platform.

Responsibilities
  • The successful candidate will demonstrate a willingness to learn and adopt emerging technologies, including new AI capabilities, and support the rapid implementation, evaluation, and adoption of innovative approaches to learning and technology.
  • They will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with various departments and vendors to enhance the delivery of training and development programs.
  • Key responsibilities will include configuring and maintaining courses, exporting reports, troubleshooting and supporting the overall administration and functionality of the LMS. The incumbent will work closely with IT teams, collaborating on system maintenance, technical issues, security and performance to ensure the effective operation of the LMS.
  • The incumbent will generate and analyze reports related to user activity, course participation, and completion. They will use data and insights to identify opportunities and make recommendations to improve LMS effectiveness, learning outcomes, and user engagement. Working collaboratively with Instructional designers, subject matter experts, editors, evaluation team, UX/UI designers and other LMS admins, the incumbent will help ensure that learning experiences are intuitive, user-friendly, and accessible. They will work closely with instructional designers to configure and manage course assessment tools, including quizzes and surveys, and support the creation and implementation of learning objects in multiple formats, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript and SCORM.
  • The incumbent will maintain documentation, develop training materials and user guides, and deliver training sessions to educate users on learning platform functionality, processes, and best practices.
  • The successful candidate will contribute to a workplace that values diversity, promotes collaboration, and adheres to all applicable policies, standards, and regulatory requirements. This position is located at 1025 Queen Street West.
Qualifications

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Educational Technology, or a related field, with a minimum of three years experience supporting the development and delivery of e-learning and web-based learning resources. The role requires experience with LMS platforms such as Moodle, and e-learning authoring tools such as Articulate RISE and Storyline. Demonstrated knowledge of emerging AI technologies and their application in online education is also required.

Experience with front-end web development (i.e., HTML, CSS, jQuery and Bootstrap framework) and content management systems is required. Proficient use and understanding of cloud-based storage platforms (i.e., OneDrive, Dropbox) and screen recording tools (e.g., Camtasia) is required. Proficiency in backend programming languages (e.g., PHP), database management (e.g., SQL, NoSQL), and experience with APIs are considered a strong asset.

Understanding of SCORM e-learning standards, Web Content Accessibility (WCAG 2.1) guideline and UI/UX principles is an asset. Familiarity with xAPI and LRS is considered an asset. Experience in using project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana) and content management systems (e.g., Sharepoint) is an asset.

You possess analytical and problem-solving abilities, organizational and time management skills as well as sound judgment. You are enthusiastic, flexible and capable of working independently and in a team setting, and can demonstrate excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills and can work well under pressure. You are able to work effectively in a wide range of settings with individuals from diverse backgrounds. Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset.

Salary Range

$37.51 – $50.60 per hour
