Job summary

GIP Atlantic Canada Ltd. is seeking a Project Coordinator to support engineering and project teams, starting with drafting tasks and expanding into project management as you gain experience.

You will produce drawings in AutoCAD, prepare layouts and diagrams, and work with panel technicians, estimators, and PMs to meet project needs.

We offer an hourly wage of $24.00–$28.00 per hour, with a focus on safety, collaboration, and career growth across Atlantic Canada.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering Technology, Drafting/Design, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of experience in a drafting position, preferably in an industrial environment.
• AutoCAD proficiency (experience in electrical or mechanical drafting is an asset).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate drawings.
• Eagerness to learn and grow into project management responsibilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• A proactive mindset with the ability to adapt to changing priorities.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate drawings using AutoCAD and design tools.
• Prepare layouts, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with panel technicians, estimators, and project managers to meet requirements.
• Revise drawings for changes and updates.
• Maintain organized drawing files per company standards.
• Participate in project meetings and planning/controls exposure.
• Develop skills for project management, including scheduling and budgeting.
