Job summary

Aplin in Winnipeg is seeking a hands-on Project Coordinator to assist planning and on-site execution for industrial and construction projects. You will coordinate resources, monitor progress and report to leadership to drive successful outcomes.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in field-based project coordination, strong communication, and a willingness to travel within Manitoba. A valid driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education in Engineering, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
  • 2+ years of project coordination or project management experience in industrial, environmental or construction environments.
  • Experience coordinating field-based projects.
  • Knowledge of construction, industrial processes, site operations and equipment.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and field teams simultaneously.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to travel ~25% within Manitoba.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with planning and coordinating projects, including scope, schedules, budgets, resources and deliverables.
  • Coordinate labour, equipment, materials and subcontractors.
  • Support project planning and on-site execution.
  • Monitor project progress, costs, quality and schedules, escalating issues as required.
  • Identify project risks and support resolution to minimize delays.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, permits and project requirements.
  • Maintain communication with clients, contractors, field teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide regular project updates, reporting and financial tracking to leadership.
  • Monitor quality and address deficiencies promptly.
  • Assist with project closeout, documentation and lessons learned.

Key Responsibilities

What You Bring

  • Working knowledge of construction, industrial processes, site operations and equipment
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to support multiple projects and field teams simultaneously
  • Valid driver’s licence
  • Ability to travel approximately 25% throughout Manitoba, primarily for day trips with occasional overnight stays
