Job summary

Plan Group, Inc. is seeking a Project Coordinator, Mechanical Construction in Vaughan to support project managers and site supervisors, maintain schedules, and ensure targets are met on large-scale mechanical construction projects.

The ideal candidate has Mechanical Engineering education and at least one year of related experience, strong MS Project and office skills, and the ability to coordinate trades, review drawings, and maintain documentation to drive project success.

Qualifications

• You have Mechanical Engineering post-secondary education and a minimum of one year related experience; trade experience a definite asset.
• You are proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Project; experience with scheduling software such as Primavera an asset.
• You have experience analyzing and understanding mechanical construction drawings and experience working on commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Managers and Site Supervisors to develop and actively maintain the project schedule and ensure project targets are achieved.
• Maintain and update document control logs and follow through on project management procedures: change orders, as-built drawings, close out documents.
• Provide status updates of work in progress and support with project forecasting, cost control and PLAN Group’s TIME efficiency program.
• Coordinate equipment and material deliveries and provide oversight of sub-trades.
• Participate in site meetings and document meeting minutes.
• Maintain records of all materials used and the progress made on the job in line with company guidelines.
• Proactively identify and bring to management’s attention potential problems and/or schedule delays.

As a leading mechanical construction contractor we are involved in a number of large scalecomplex construction projects and are now looking to grow our team.

To truly excel in this role you must have the ability to develop solid relationships and effectivelycommunicate with both internal and external clients to positively influence others and drive forresults.

You are comfortable working in a fast paced environment, can proactively multi-task and managemultiple priorities. You exhibit strong leadership skills and have the potential to take the lead onprojects, make timely decisions to achieve desired results.

As a Project Coordinator, Mechanical Construction, you will be asked to do the following:
