Job summary

Plan Group Inc. is seeking an Electrical Project Coordinator to support Project Managers and Site Supervisors in scheduling, document control, and cost monitoring for multi-million dollar projects.

The role involves coordinating equipment deliveries, overseeing sub-trades, and capturing meeting minutes to keep projects moving on time. The ideal candidate has electrical engineering education and at least two years of related experience.

Qualifications

  • Electrical Engineering post-secondary education and a minimum of two years related experience. Trade experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers and Site Supervisors to develop and maintain the project schedule and ensure targets are achieved.
  • Maintain and update document control logs and follow project management procedures including change orders, as-builts, and close out documents.
  • Provide status updates of work in progress and assist with project forecasting and cost control.
  • Coordinate equipment and material deliveries and oversee sub-trades.
  • Participate in site meetings and document meeting minutes.
  • Maintain records of materials used and progress in line with company guidelines.
  • Identify potential problems or schedule delays and bring them to management's attention.

As An Electrical Project Coordinator You
  • Support Project Managers and Site Supervisors to develop and actively maintain the project schedule and ensure project targets are achieved.
  • Maintain and update document control logs and follow through on project management procedures: change orders, as-built drawings, close out documents.
  • Provide status updates of work in progress and support with project forecasting, cost control and Plan Group's T.I.M.E. efficiency program.
  • Coordinate equipment and material deliveries and provide oversight of sub-trades.
  • Participate in site meetings and document meeting minutes.
  • Maintain records of all materials used and the progress made on the job in line with company guidelines.
  • Proactively identify and bring management's attention potential problems and/or schedule delays.
Our Ideal Candidate Has

You have related Electrical Engineering post-secondary education and a minimum of two years related experience; trade experience a definite asset.

  • You are proficient in Microsoft Office and MS Project; experience with scheduling software such as Primavera an asset.
  • Experience working on healthcare projects a definite asset.
  • You have experience analyzing and understanding mechanical construction drawings and experience working on commercial projects.
  • Hold a valid security clearance, or have the ability to get it.
