Looking to build your experience in construction, commercial real estate, and property operations? This 6-month, full-time contract offers hands-on involvement in supporting minor construction projects, tenant improvements, and building operations within active office and commercial environments.

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (occasional flexibility may be required)
Location: Site based (remote work not available)

About the Role
Working alongside property and project managers, you’ll help coordinate operational and construction-related tasks—ranging from permit handling and contractor access to schedule tracking and documentation. This is a great opportunity to gain real-world exposure to building systems, vendor management, and construction workflows in a professional setting.

While not a traditional project coordinator role, it provides meaningful learning and growth in commercial property and construction environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate permits (e.g., hot work), contractor access, and material deliveries

  • Support scheduling, communication, and documentation for small-scale construction and maintenance projects

  • Attend meetings, take minutes, and maintain organized project records

  • Monitor on-site contractor activity for compliance with safety standards

  • Process invoices, update project data, and assist with reporting

  • Collect project close-out documentation (warranties, manuals, record drawings)

  • Assist with minor tenant improvement projects (under $25K) from start to finish

  • Provide backup administrative support as needed

  • Liaise with vendors, tenants, and internal teams to maintain workflow and communication

What You Bring

  • Eligible for Government of Canada Reliability Level Security Clearance (must be obtained and maintained)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams)

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and efficient under pressure

  • Professional and collaborative approach, comfortable working with contractors and vendors

  • Interest or experience in commercial real estate, facilities coordination, or construction support

  • Familiarity with Yardi or similar systems is an asset

  • Post-secondary education in business, construction, or a related field is an asset

  • Proactive and willing to take on a variety of support tasks

Compensation & Perks

  • $24–$34 per hour, based on experience

  • Full-time, 6-month contract

  • On-site parking included

  • Real-world experience in construction, real estate, and operations within an established property management environment
