Job summary

DCM is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Administrator to support payroll processing and time-entry for a construction-focused team in Saskatchewan. You will manage timesheets, keep subcontractor and employee records up to date, and coordinate travel logistics when required.

The role requires strong English communication, data accuracy, and the ability to work independently or with others to meet tight deadlines. Travel and on-site collaboration are expected in this position.

Qualifications

  • Experience in payroll in a construction-related environment is preferred.
  • Strong data entry and accuracy abilities.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

  • Perform payroll related tasks for unionized and/or non-unionized environments.
  • Enter daily timesheets and create client LEMs.
  • Maintain records for all subcontractors and employees.
  • Logistics duties such as flight bookings and camp bookings.
  • Verify cost coding in client and internal databases.
  • Enter material and third-party invoices for LEM generation.
  • Demonstrate high attention to detail and handle high data entry volumes under deadlines.
  • Assist with turnover and HSE documentation; scanning documents etc.
  • Perform other related tasks as required by Management.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Perform payroll related tasks for unionized and/or non-unionized environments
  • Entering daily timesheets and creating client LEMs
  • Maintain records for all subcontractors and employees
  • Logistic duties such as flight bookings and camp bookings
  • Verifying cost coding in the client database, as well as the internal database
  • Material and Third Party Invoice Entry for LEM generation
  • High attention to detail and ability to complete a high volume of data entry while maintaining tight deadlines
  • Assist with Turnover and HSE documentation; scanning documents etc
  • Perform other related functions as required by Management
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE
  • Past experience in time entry in a construction-related environment is required
  • Experience in MS365 suite specifically Excel, SharePoint, Teams, and Outlook would be considered an asset.
  • Experience with Time Entry software
  • Experience coordinating logistics would be considered an asset
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team environment to meet deadlines
  • On-site experience would be considered an asset
REQUIRED SKILLS
  • An administrative certificate would be considered an asset
  • A equivalent combination of education and work experience would be considered an asset
  • Energetic and team-oriented
  • Highly motivated individual who takes initiative and drives tasks to completion
  • Strong analytical thinking skills
  • Ability to produce quality work while reaching deadlines
  • Close attention to detail and can work well under pressure and with other departments across the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy
  • Have excellent communication skills in verbal and written English
