Job summary

Tolko Industries in Armstrong, BC is seeking Production Supervisors to lead manufacturing crews in our lumber and veneer operations. You’ll focus on safety, quality, and efficiency while building strong teams across Armstrong and White Valley sites.

You’ll guide shift teams, monitor schedules, drive continuous improvement, and promote Tolko’s values of safety, respect, integrity, and open communication. Relocation support is offered for ideal candidates.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing, preferably in a lumber environment.
• Strong leadership and people management skills with a focus on safety and reliability.
• Excellent organizational, time management, interpersonal and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Develop and empower your team to deliver results.
• Provide direction and leadership to a production crew.
• Ensure production targets and schedules are met as forecasted by monitoring production schedules, tracking progress and making adjustments as needed.
• Ensure efficiency and quality in lumber products manufacturing.
• Promote a culture of safety by ensuring work is performed in accordance with company policies and procedures and that risks are identified and mitigated.
• Build strong labor relations and maintain effective communication.

We’re looking for Production Supervisors

to join our Armstrong division located in Armstrong, British Columbia and our White Valley divisions located in Lumby, British Columbia. Our Armstrong Lumber Division safely and sustainably produces 234 million board feet of lumber each year, while our White Valley facility produces 225 million square feet of veneer annually. We provide these products to customers around the world to help them build their homes and communities.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

• A strong commitment to safety, quality, lumber recovery, and production efficiency.
• Minimum3-5 years of supervisory experience in manufacturing,preferably in a lumber manufacturing environment.
• Strongleadershipandpeople management skills,with a focus onsafety and reliability.
• Strongorganizational, time management, interpersonal and communicationskills.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts.
• Experience inbuilding and developing a positive team environment.
• Post-secondary education in forestry, sawmill business or industrial wood processing would be considered an asset.
