Job summary

Tolko Industries Ltd. is seeking a Woodlands Operations Supervisor for the Southern Interior Woodlands Division.

Based in Vernon or Kamloops, you will supervise field teams and ensure safety while supporting Tolko's aims in safety, environment, production, cost and quality. You will travel within the southern interior BC and engage with diverse teams, strengthening relationships and advancing forestry projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in related industry experience.
• Experience in harvesting/roads in BC Interior or timber development and permitting in BC.
• Experience with First Nations collaboration and partnership.
• Planning experience in BC.
• Proven commitment to safety.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Ability to perform fieldwork.
• University Degree or Technical Diploma in Forestry.
• Active registrant with the Forest Professionals British Columbia.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and oversee field personnel while maintaining safety standards.
• Interact with various teams and build strong relationships with the people you work with.
• Support Tolko’s objectives for safety, environment, production, cost and quality.
• Perform work both in office and in the field.

We’re looking for an experienced Woodlands Operations Supervisor for our Southern Interior Woodlands Division. The Southern Interior Woodlands Team manages Tolko's tenure and fibre supply in the Southern Interior of British Columbia, covering an area of 953,447 hectares. We are dedicated to sustaining these areas to the benefit of all who live and work there. Successful candidate can be based in either the Vernon or Kamloops area.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

• 5+ years related industry experience.
• Experience in one or more of:
  • Harvesting or Roads in the BC Interior or;
  • Timber Development and Permitting in BC or;
  • First Nations Collaboration and Partnership.
  • Planning in BC
• A proven commitment to safety.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Ability to perform fieldwork.
