Job summary

Tolko Industries Ltd. is seeking a Woodlands Operations Supervisor for the Southern Interior Woodlands Division, based in Vernon or Kamloops, BC.

You will supervise field personnel, maintain safety standards, and build strong relationships with teams while supporting Tolko’s safety, environment, production, cost and quality goals. The role involves field and office work, travel across southern interior communities, and opportunities in Harvesting or Roads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related industry experience.
• Experience in Harvesting or Roads in BC Interior; Timber Development and Permitting in BC; First Nations Collaboration and Partnership.
• Planning in BC.
• A proven commitment to safety.

We’re looking for an experienced Woodlands Operations Supervisor for our Southern Interior Woodlands Division. The Southern Interior Woodlands Team manages Tolko's tenure and fibre supply in the Southern Interior of British Columbia, covering an area of 953,447 hectares. We are dedicated to sustaining these areas to the benefit of all who live and work there. Successful candidate can be based in either the Vernon or Kamloops area.

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

• 5+ years related industry experience.
• Experience in one or more of:
  • Harvesting or Roads in the BC Interior or;
  • Timber Development and Permitting in BC or;
  • First Nations Collaboration and Partnership.
  • Planning in BC
• A proven commitment to safety.
• Strong time management and communication skills.
• Ability to perform fieldwork.
• A University Degree or Technical Diploma in Forestry.
• An active registrant with the Forest Professionals British Columbia.
