Job summary

Tolko Industries Ltd. in Vernon, British Columbia, is seeking Weekend Casual Employees to support our Lavington Division’s lumber production. You will assist tradespersons, gather and return parts, and help with site cleanup while maintaining safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated commitment to working safely.

• Previous experience operating a forklift or loader is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Work independently as part of a high-performance team dedicated safely and efficiently producing lumber products.
• Perform a variety of labour duties to increase productivity and reduce safety risks.
• Identify, analyze and troubleshoot any problems that might arise in your area.
• Work with your Team Lead and Maintenance teams to make sure everything stays on track.

Weekend Casual employeesare the backbone of our mills. They provide a vital service, providing assistance to the tradespersons in ensuring that work is conducted safety, gathering and returning of parts and general clean up as required throughout the site.

Today, at Lavington, we safely and sustainably produce 238 million board feet of lumber per year forcustomers around the worldso they can build their homes and their communities.

• Demonstratedcommitment to working safely.
• Mechanical aptitude is considered an asset.
