Tolko Industries Ltd. in Lumby, British Columbia, is seeking entry level General Production Employees for the White Valley Division. Learn all aspects of production from clean-up to machine operation with on-the-job training and a life-long career path.

We offer a competitive hourly wage of $35.66 to start, benefits, and access to retirement plans. This role supports veneer production for customers worldwide and involves shifts, safety, and teamwork in a dynamic industrial environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Commitment to working safely.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends, in a physically demanding industrial environment.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Must be able to work varying shifts.
• Previous forest products experience is asset.

Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively across your team to safely and efficiently produce veneer.
• Perform a variety of labour duties to increase productivity and reduce safety risks.
• Identify, analyze and troubleshoot problems that might arise in your area.
• Communicate with your Team Lead and Maintenance teams to ensure things stay on track.

We’re looking for aGeneral Production Employeeto join our White Valley Division located inLumby, British Columbia. White Valley produces the veneer used at our Armstrong Plywood facility. White Valley safely and sustainably produces225,000 million square feet of veneer every yearforcustomers around the worldso they can build their homes and their communities. Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

• High School Diplomaor equivalent.
• Commitment toworking safely.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work avariety of shifts,including evenings and weekends,in aphysically demanding industrial environment.
• Strongproblem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independentlywith little supervision.
• Must be able to work varying shifts.
• Previous experience in a forest products environment considered an asset.
